Cousin Molly is from Toronto, Ontario and has been teaching and entertaining children throughout Ontario, Branson, MO as well as Berlin, Germany over the past many years.
One of Laura's regular clients is PLASP!
PLASP is the Peel, Lunch & Afterschool Program running in 187 schools in the Peel Region of Ontario. Laura has performed instrument presentations for more than 160 schools.
Laura also plays many birthday parties, kindergartens, daycares, special events and festivals. She also runs special regular music programs at several daycares in Toronto. Early childhood literacy is always a focus for Laura's youngest audiences!

1. Kindergarten & Daycare Shows
Cousin Molly is dressed up!
Ages 1-6
Stories, songs, instrument playing, nursery rhymes, puppets and more!
30-45 minutes....can be a one-time visit or monthly or twice a month classes. Early childhood literacy is included in this program. A great way to get children learning their ABCs, colours, number, letters and new vocabulary! Great for family shows, libraries, special event too.
2. Instrument Presentations for Grade 1-6
not dressed up as Cousin Molly
up to 60 children
Laura brings a great array of instruments to discuss and play. Children are given the opportunity to sing, laugh, play drums & shakers, learn some of the secrets behind instrument playing and much more.
This is a fun, educational and highly entertaining
learning show! Great for libraries too!
3. SEVEN HANDS TRIO Show
for grades 1 - 6
up to 150 children
This is a special show of 3 talented multi-instrumentalists led by Laura Thomas. These players will demonstrate their talents on 4 instruments each!
Two Part Presentation:
Part One
Each player, Laura Thomas, Mitch Lewis and Alyssa Wright present an instrument demonstarion on 4 instruments for groups of 50 children.
Part Two
For the second part of the presentation, the children all join together in a common area where the trio present the instruments again, combining their instruments and talents to show the children the real power in presenting music with instruments.
Children are inspired by the simplicities and complexities available through instrument playing!
All children are given the opportunity to play an instrument! 150 children playing together is quite a sight! We will explore; soloing, secrets of playing in an ensemble, considering your audience, rhythm and much more!
